This book puts on record the the work of Rowland Ward as a tribute to him and to those who worked for the company he founded. It gathers together memories, ephemera and surviving photographs that would otherwise be lost.

Research for this book took more than 20 years. The author has drawn material from publications, museum archives, private collections, Rowland Ward's remaining scrap books and interviews with former employees.
